DESCRIPTION

· The 74HCT594 is a high-speed CMOS 8-bit shift register with an 8-bit output register, compatible with 74LS low power Schottky types.

· It features serial data input (DS) and shift register clock (SHCP) for data acceptance on each positive clock transition.

· Includes shift register reset (SHR) and storage register reset (STR) functions, both independent of clocks.

· Data is transferred to the output register via the storage register clock (STCP), with Q7S for cascading devices.

· Registers capture data on the rising edge and change output on the falling edge.
