DESCRIPTION
· The 9038DR8 is a mechanical alternator designed for Square D Pumptrol systems.
· It is flange top-mounted and suitable for NEMA 7/9 applications.
· The device is used for mechanically alternating the operation of two pumps or motors in closed tank environments.
FEATURES
· Features 4 NC snap action DPST-DB contacts, Form YY.
· Includes 2 conduit entries for 3/4"-14 NPT UL 508.
· Constructed with materials like yellow brass, stainless steel 316, and nitrile rubber for durability.
· Enclosure is made of cast aluminum, operating in a vertical position only.
· Electrical and mechanical durability rated at 100 and 300 cycles respectively, with a maximum operating rate of 60 cycles per minute.
APPLICATIONS
· Primarily used in systems requiring the alternation of two pumps or motors.
· Suitable for handling fresh water, sea water, hydraulic oil, and corrosive fluids with specific gravity of 0.85 or higher.
· Ideal for environments with temperatures ranging from 0 to 220 °F (-18 to 104 °C).
