Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The ADS1299-x series includes four-, six-, and eight-channel, low-noise, 24-bit, simultaneous-sampling delta-sigma ADCs with built-in PGA, internal reference, and onboard oscillator.

· Designed for extracranial EEG and ECG applications, these devices offer high integration and performance, enabling scalable medical systems with reduced size, power, and cost.

· Features a flexible input multiplexer per channel, internal test signals, lead-off detection, and patient bias output signal derivation.

· Operates at data rates from 250 SPS to 16kSPS and supports daisy-chain configuration for high channel count systems.

· Available in a TQFP-64 package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.



FEATURES

· Up to eight low-noise PGAs and eight high-resolution simultaneous-sampling ADCs.

· Input-referred noise: 1μVPP (70-Hz BW), input bias current: 300pA.

· CMRR: -110dB, programmable gain: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, or 24.

· Unipolar or bipolar supplies: analog (4.75V to 5.25V), digital (1.8V to 3.6V).

· Built-in bias drive amplifier, lead-off detection, test signals, and oscillator.

· SPI-compatible serial interface, flexible power-down, and standby mode.

· Pin-compatible with the ADS129x series.



APPLICATIONS

· Medical instrumentation including EEG, fetal ECG, sleep study monitors, BIS, and EAP.

· Suitable for scalable systems in biopotential measurements and extracranial applications.
