DESCRIPTION

· The ADS7846 is a next-generation 4-wire touch screen controller, fully pin-compatible with the ADS7843.

· It features direct battery measurement, temperature measurement, and touch-pressure measurement capabilities.

· Includes an on-chip 2.5V reference for auxiliary input, battery monitor, and temperature measurement modes.

· Designed for low-power consumption (<0.75mW typical at 2.7V with reference off) and high-speed operation (up to 125kHz clock rate).

· Suitable for battery-operated systems like PDAs, pagers, and cellular phones.

· Available in TSSOP-16, SSOP-16, QFN-16, and VFBGA-48 packages, operating from -40°C to +85°C.
