DESCRIPTION

· The AK4363 is a stereo CMOS D/A Converter with an integrated Phase Locked Loop, designed for digital video broadcast set-top boxes and DVD applications.

· It features single-ended DAC outputs with built-in analog filtering to eliminate out-of-band noise, eliminating the need for external filters.

· The PLL supports selectable sampling clock frequencies synchronized with the 27MHz MPEG clock.

FEATURES

· Stereo ΔΣ DAC with S/(N+D) of 90dB, DR of 102dB, and S/N of 102dB at 5V.

· Supports multiple sampling frequencies: 16kHz, 22.05kHz, 24kHz (Half speed); 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz (Normal speed); 64kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz (Double speed).

· On-chip low jitter analog PLL generating multiple master clock frequencies from 27MHz.

· Data input formats include LSB justified, MSB justified, and I2S.

· Features soft mute, digital attenuator (256 steps), and digital de-emphasis (44.1kHz/48kHz/32kHz).

· Output modes: Stereo, Mono, Reverse, Mute.

· Control modes: 3-wire Serial and I2C Bus.

· Low power dissipation: 80mW at 5V.

· Small 24-pin VSOP package with a power supply range of 2.7V to 5.5V.

· Operating temperature range: -40°C to 85°C.
