DESCRIPTION
· The AS1720A is a low-side current source optimized for DC operation, focusing on power saving and ultra-low electromagnetic radiation.
· The AS1720B is a low-side switch offering a PWM output, with frequency controlled by an internal RC oscillator for precise power management.
· Both models support adjustable initial and hold currents, and feature thermal protection to prevent overheating.
FEATURES
· Operates within a supply range of +5V to +50V.
· Internal VDDA of 3.3V with a supply current of 1 mA.
· Features a fixed delay of 136ms and an internal oscillator frequency of 30kHz.
· Adjustable duty cycle from 20% to 90% (AS1720B only).
· Adjustable energizing current from 10mA to 100mA and hold current from 30% to 70% of energizing current.
· Includes current limitation and thermal shutdown at 150ºC.
· Available in 8-pin MLPD (2x2mm) and SOIC 8 packages.
