DESCRIPTION
· AS2523/24 is a CMOS integrated circuit for telephone line interface and speakerphone functionality.
· It includes DC and AC line adaptation, speech circuit with softclipping, and Rx-volume control.
· Operates as an a/b-line powered device controlled by CPU or standard dialer.

· Line/Speakerphone circuit on a 28-pin CMOS-IC.
· Serial interface on AS2523, parallel interface on AS2524.
· Enhanced voice switching and background noise monitoring.
· Programmable Tx- and Rx-gain, digital volume control, and DC characteristics on AS2523.
· Dual softclipping in handset and handsfree modes on AS2523.
· Loudspeaker amplifier and supply voltage generation for external circuitry.
· Automatic line loss compensation on AS2523/24B.
· Selectable real and complex impedance, side tone adaptation.
· Unique EMC performance, operating range from 15mA to 100mA.
