DESCRIPTION
· The AS8223 is a monolithic FlexRay compliant Active Star Device managing communication among four FlexRay branches, expandable via an Interstar interface.
· It operates as a FlexRay receiver and transmitter with one receiver path and three transmitter paths.
· Features a Host Controller Interface for power mode control and error diagnosis, and an autonomous mode for operation without a host controller.
· Includes a Communication Controller interface for standard transceiver functionality on the ECU.
· Available in a 44-pin MLF (9x9) package.
FEATURES
· Manages four FlexRay branches with message forwarding on six communication paths.
· Supports data transfer up to 10Mbps, compliant with FlexRay Electrical Physical Layer Specification V2.1 Rev B.
· Excellent EMC performance and low EMI susceptibility.
· Includes automatic thermal shutdown and protection against short circuits.
· Supports 12V and 24V systems with low sleep current and integrated power management.
· Offers local and remote wake-up capabilities, and supports various microcontroller voltages.
