DESCRIPTION

· The BA3308, BA3308F, and BA3308FV are dual preamplifier ICs with built-in ALC circuits, designed for stereo radio-cassette recorders and tape recorders.

· Available in 9-pin SIP (BA3308), 14-pin MF (BA3308F), and 14-pin SSOP (BA3308FV) packages.

· Features two record/playback preamplifiers and an ALC circuit.

· High gain and low distortion preamplifiers allow direct coupling to tape heads without capacitors, preventing tape head magnetization and "pop" noise.

· Includes a built-in rectifier for constructing an ALC circuit with good channel balance and large dynamic range, requiring only an external time constant circuit.

· Incorporates power-on mute circuits to suppress "pop" noise.
