DESCRIPTION

· The CYTMA445 is a TrueTouch® Multi-Touch All-Points Touchscreen Controller by Cypress Semiconductor Corporation.

· It features a 32-bit ARM Cortex™ CPU and is register configurable.

· The controller supports noise suppression technologies for battery charger and display, effective 28-V drive for higher SNR, and ChargerArmor™ for charger noise immunity.

· It includes external display synchronization, water rejection, wet-finger tracking using DualSense™, and multi-touch glove with automatic mode switching.

· The controller supports fingernail tracking, large object rejection, automatic baseline tracking to environmental changes, and low-power look-for-touch mode.

· It allows field upgrades via bootloader, supports Android™ drivers, and includes Cypress Manufacturing Test Kit (MTK).

· The controller also supports touchscreen sensor self-test and Panel ID reporting.

FEATURES

· Supports screen sizes up to 5.0-inch diagonal with 4.8-mm sensor pitch and 16:9 aspect ratio.

· Up to 36 sense pins and 299 intersections (23 × 13).

· Reports up to 10 fingers with small finger support down to 4 mm and large finger support up to 30 mm.

· Refresh rate up to 300 Hz with configurable other rates and TX frequency up to 500 kHz.

· Fast first-touch response (≤13 ms) and charger noise immunity up to 35 VPP.

· Power supply ranges from 1.71 to 5.5 V for digital and I/O, and 2.65 to 5.5 V for analog.

· Average power consumption is 6.75 mW with typical deep-sleep power of 4.5 μW.

APPLICATIONS

· Supports various touchscreen sensors and stackups including Manhattan, diamond, and SLIM® patterns.

· Compatible with sensor-on-lens (SOL), on-cell touch integrated display modules, and plastic (PET) and glass sensor substrates.

· Works with LCD and AMOLED displays and enables single-layer flexible printed circuit (FPC) routing.

· Communication interfaces include I2C slave at standard bit rates (100 kbps, 400 kbps, 1 Mbps, and 3.4 Mbps) and SPI slave bit rate up to 10 Mbps.

· Available in 44-pin 5 × 5 × 0.6-mm QFN and 48-pin 6 × 6 × 0.6-mm QFN package options.
