DESCRIPTION

· The DS1629 is a 2-wire digital thermometer and real-time clock (RTC) integrated into an 8-pin SO package.
· It communicates via a 2-wire interface and operates over a wide power supply range (2.2V to 5.5V).
· The device provides 9-bit temperature readings and includes a clock/calendar with leap year compensation up to 2100.
· It features an open-drain output for oscillator input to a microcontroller.

FEATURES

· Measures temperatures from -55°C to +125°C (-67°F to 257°F).
· Thermometer accuracy is ±2.0°C (typ) with a resolution of 9 bits (expandable).
· Includes a real-time clock with seconds, minutes, hours, date, month, day of the week, and year.
· User-definable thermostatic and time alarm settings with a dedicated open-drain alarm output.
· 32 bytes of SRAM for general data storage.
· 2-wire serial interface for data read/write operations.
