DESCRIPTION
· The FX614 is a low-power CMOS integrated circuit designed for the reception and transmission of asynchronous 1200 bits/sec data, compatible with Bell 202 systems.
· It includes an optional Tx and Rx data retiming function, eliminating the need for a UART in the associated microcontroller at 1200 bits/sec.
· The device features an optional line equalizer in the receive path, controlled by an external logic level.
· It operates at a standard 3.58MHz crystal/clock rate and is suitable for a wide range of telephone telemetry systems.
FEATURES
· 1200 bits/sec half-duplex Bell 202 compatible modem.
· Optional 5 bits/sec and 150 bits/sec back channel.
· Optional 1200 bits/sec data retiming facility.
· Operates from a 3.0V to 5.5V supply with 1.0mA at 3V and 1µA in 'Zero-Power' mode.
· Optional line equalization.
· Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
· Available in 16-pin SOIC and DIL packages.
