DESCRIPTION

· The HCF4018B is a monolithic integrated circuit fabricated in Metal Oxide Semiconductor technology, available in DIP and SOP packages.
· It consists of 5 Johnson counter stages, buffered Q outputs, and counter preset control gating.
· The device supports various divide-by configurations and is advanced by positive clock signal transitions.

FEATURES

· Medium speed operation at 10 MHz (Typ.) with VDD - VSS= 10V.
· Fully static operation with standardized symmetrical output characteristics.
· Quiescent current specified up to 20V, with 5V, 10V, and 15V parametric ratings.
· Input leakage current II = 100nA (MAX) at VDD = 18V and TA = 25°C.
· 100% tested for quiescent current and meets all requirements of JEDEC JESD13B.

APPLICATIONS

· Implement divide by 10, 8, 6, 4, or 2 counter configurations by feeding Q signals back to the data input.
· Achieve divide-by-9, 7, 5, or 3 counter configurations using an HCF4011B gate package.
· Realize divide-by-functions greater than 10 by using multiple HCF4018B units.
· Suitable for applications requiring preset control and anti-lock gating for proper counting sequence.
