Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The HCF4538B is a monolithic integrated circuit fabricated in Metal Oxide Semiconductor technology, available in DIP and SOP packages.

· It is a dual precision monostable multivibrator designed for stable retriggerable/resettable one-shot operation in fixed voltage-timing applications.

· Timing and accuracy are controlled by an external resistor (R X) and an external capacitor (CX), allowing for a wide range of output pulse widths from the Q and Q terminals.

· Precision control of output pulse width is achieved through linear CMOS techniques.



FEATURES

· Retriggerable/resettable capability with independent trigger and reset propagation delays from R X and CX.

· Triggering available from both leading edge (+TR) and trailing edge (-TR) inputs.

· Buffered Q and Q outputs with separate reset inputs.

· Wide range of output pulse widths achievable.

· Quiescent current specified up to 20V, with parametric ratings for 5V, 10V, and 15V.

· Schmitt trigger input allows unlimited rise and fall times on +TR and -TR inputs.

· Input leakage current of 100nA (max) at VDD = 18V, TA = 25°C.

· 100% tested for quiescent current and meets all requirements of JEDEC JESD13B standard for B series CMOS devices.
