DESCRIPTION
· The Honeywell HMR3000 is a digital compass module designed for navigation, providing heading, pitch, and roll outputs.
· It utilizes three orthogonal magneto-resistive sensors to measure the Earth's magnetic field and a fluid tilt sensor for gravitational reference.
· The module features a rugged, reliable strapdown compass design with serial data output options of RS-232 or RS-485.
FEATURES
· High accuracy with less than 0.5° error and 0.1° resolution.
· Wide tilt range of ±40° and up to 20 updates per second.
· Outputs in NMEA standard sentences and includes a hard iron calibration routine.
· Available in PCB or aluminum enclosure options, powered by a 6-15 volt DC unregulated supply.
APPLICATIONS
· Compassing and navigation, marine navigation, and antenna positioning.
· Dead reckoning backup to GPS systems and land surveying.
· Includes a development kit with a Windows-compatible demo program, interface cable, AC adapter, and carrying case for RS-232 version.
