DESCRIPTION

· The HSDL-4400 Series features flat top IR emitters with an untinted, nondiffused, truncated lens for wide radiation patterns, ideal for short-distance communication where emitter and detector alignment is non-critical.
· The HSDL-5400 Series includes flat top IR detectors with a black tinted truncated lens that reduces ambient light interference.
· The HSDL-4420 Series offers dome IR emitters with an untinted, nondiffused lens providing a 24-degree viewing angle and high on-axis intensity.
· The HSDL-5420 Series uses the same lens design as the HSDL-4420 with an optical filter similar to the HSDL-5400.
· All devices are encapsulated on axial lead frames, available in various configurations including surface mount and through-hole designs.
· Utilizes TS AlGaAs technology for high radiant efficiency across a wide range of drive currents and temperatures.

FEATURES

· Subminiature flat top and dome package size: 2x2 mm.
· IR emitter operates at 875 nm with TS AlGaAs, intensity of 17 mW/sr, and speed of 40 ns.
· Supports a wide range of drive currents from 500 µA to 500 mA.
· IR detector features a PIN photodiode with high sensitivity and speed of 7.5 ns.
· Flexible lead configurations including surface mount or through-hole options.
