DESCRIPTION

· The HV101 is a 3-pin hotswap controller in SOT-223 package, requiring only a pass element as an external component.

· It integrates features typically found in 8-pin or more hotswap controllers, including UV detection, POR supervision, inrush current limiting, short circuit protection, and auto-retry.

· Utilizes a patent-pending mechanism to adapt to any pass element, ensuring consistent hotswap profiles without programming.

FEATURES

· Only pass element is external; no sense resistor needed.

· Auto-adapts to pass element; includes short circuit protection.

· Features UV and POR supervisory circuits with 2.5s auto retry.

· Operates with ±10V to ±72V input; typical supply current is 0.6mA.

· Built-in clamp for AC path turn-on glitch.
