DESCRIPTION

· IL4xxx-Series Transceivers are high-speed, fully-isolated, differential bus transceivers with integrated DC-to-DC converters.

· The IL4822 generates a 5V bus supply; the IL46xx versions generate 3.3V bus supplies.

· IL4x22 versions have full-duplex connections for RS-422 or RS-485 buses; the IL4685 has a half-duplex transceiver.

· The IL4822 is fully PROFIBUS compliant.

· Utilizes NVE’s patented spintronic Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) isolation technology and IsoLoop® high-efficiency micro-scale isolation transformers.

· Features a unique ceramic/polymer composite barrier for full isolation and long barrier life.

· Integrated shielding and DC-to-DC converter frequency hopping minimize EMI.

· Current limiting and thermal shutdown features protect against bus short circuits and contention.
