DESCRIPTION

· IR2171/IR2172 are monolithic current sensing ICs designed for motor drive applications.

· They sense motor phase current through an external shunt resistor, convert analog to digital signals, and transfer signals to the low side.

· High voltage isolation technology is used for high bandwidth signal processing.

· Output format is discrete PWM, eliminating the need for an A/D input interface for IR2172.

· Dedicated overcurrent trip (OC) signal facilitates IGBT short circuit protection.

· Open-drain outputs interface easily from 3.3V to 15V.
