DESCRIPTION

· IR2171/IR2172 are monolithic current sensing ICs designed for motor drive applications.
· They sense motor phase current via an external shunt resistor, convert analog to digital signal, and transfer it to the low side.
· Utilize IR’s proprietary high voltage isolation technology for high bandwidth signal processing.
· Output format is discrete PWM, eliminating the need for A/D input interface in IR2172.
· Open-drain outputs facilitate easy interfacing from 3.3V to 15V.
