DESCRIPTION

· The IRS21571D is a fully integrated ballast control IC designed for fluorescent lamp ballast applications.

· It features a half-bridge topology with a 600V offset and supports typical output currents of 180 mA and 260 mA.

· The IC is available in a 16-Lead SOIC (Narrow Body) package.

FEATURES

· Programmable preheat time and frequency.

· Programmable ignition ramp and deadtime.

· Protection features include failure-to-strike, lamp filament sensing, operation below resonance, and low-line condition.

· Integrated 600V level-shifting gate driver and bootstrap MOSFET.

· Includes a 15.6V zener clamp diode on VCC and supports low micro-power start-up.

· Latch immunity and ESD protection on all pins.

APPLICATIONS

· Primarily used in fluorescent lamp ballast systems.
