DESCRIPTION
· The KTS1696A is a high-performance load switch designed for USB Type-C PD ports and barrel connectors, capable of handling up to 140W at 20V and withstanding up to 29V on VBUS. It features integrated protection mechanisms including soft-start, over-voltage, reverse-current, short-circuit, over-current, over-temperature, and transient voltage suppression.
FEATURES
· Operates from 3V to 23V with a maximum rating of 29V at IN and OUT.
· Supports continuous current up to 7A and pulse current up to 15A.
· Low on-resistance of 11mΩ typical from IN to OUT.
· Includes soft-start for inrush current limitation, over-voltage protection, ideal diode reverse-current protection, and comprehensive safety features like short-circuit, over-current, and over-temperature protection.
· Features transient voltage suppression with ±90V surge protection and high ESD ratings of ±8kV contact and ±15kV air gap discharge.
· Active-high enable logic and auto-retry functionality after faults.
· Compact 25-bump WLCSP package measuring 2.70 x 2.70mm.
