DESCRIPTION

· The L9678 is a user-configurable airbag IC designed for automotive safety systems.

· It integrates multiple power supplies, diagnostic features, and deployment drivers for airbag systems.

· Available in a 64-pin LQFP64 package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 95°C.

FEATURES

· Energy reserve voltage power supply with a high-frequency boost regulator (1.882 MHz) and user-selectable output voltage (23 V or 33 V ±5%).

· User-configurable linear power supplies (5.0 V and 7.2 V ±4%) with an external pass transistor.

· Fully integrated 3.3 V ±4% linear regulator and battery voltage monitor with shutdown and wake-up control.

· System voltage diagnostics with an integrated ADC and crossover switch (max 3 Ω, 600 mA).

· Four-channel squib deployment drivers with a maximum deployment voltage of 25 V and integrated safing FET.

· User-customizable safing logic, PSI-5 remote sensor interface (L9678-S only), and four-channel sensor interface.

· ISO9141 transceiver, dual-channel LED driver, watchdog timer, and two integrated oscillators (7.5/16 MHz).

· Temperature sensor, 32-bit SPI communication, and a minimum operating voltage of 6 V.
