DESCRIPTION

· The LM5116 is a synchronous buck controller designed for step-down regulator applications, suitable for high-voltage or widely varying input supplies. It employs current mode control with an emulated current ramp for enhanced noise sensitivity and reliable control at very small duty cycles.

FEATURES

· Emulated peak current mode control.
· Operates up to 100 V with low IQ shutdown (<10 µA).
· Drives standard or logic level MOSFETs with a robust 3.5-A peak gate drive.
· Supports free-run or synchronous operation up to 1 MHz.
· Features include programmable output (1.215 V to 80 V), precision 1.5% voltage reference, and programmable current limit.
· Includes programmable soft start, line undervoltage lockout, and automatic switch to external bias supply.
· Available in HTSSOP-20 exposed pad package with thermal shutdown.
