DESCRIPTION

· The M74HC123 is a high-speed CMOS monostable multivibrator using silicon gate C2MOS technology.
· It features two trigger inputs: A INPUT (negative edge) and B INPUT (positive edge), suitable for slow rising/falling signals.
· The device can also be triggered via the CLR input (positive-edge) due to its Schmitt-trigger input.
· The output maintains a monostable state determined by external resistor Rx and capacitor Cx.
· The output pulse width is approximately given by tW(OUT) = K · Cx · Rx (K ≅ 0.45) when Cx > 10nF and Rx > 10KΩ.
· All inputs are protected against static discharge and transient excess voltage.

· Low power dissipation: Standby state ICC = 4µA (max) at TA = 25°C; Active state ICC = 200µA (max) at VCC = 5V.

· Symmetrical output impedance: |IOH| = IOL = 4mA (min).
· Balanced propagation delays: tPLH ≅ tPHL.
· Wide operating voltage range: VCC (OPR) = 2V to 6V.
· Wide output pulse width range: tWOUT = 120 ns ~ 60 s at VCC = 4.5V.
· Pin and function compatible with 74 series 123.
