DESCRIPTION

· The M74HC123 is a high-speed CMOS monostable multivibrator fabricated with silicon gate C2MOS technology.
· It features two trigger inputs: A INPUT (negative edge) and B INPUT (positive edge), which are valid for slow rising/falling signals.
· The device can also be triggered using the CLR input (positive-edge) due to its Schmitt-trigger input.
· The output maintains the monostable state for a period determined by external resistor Rx and capacitor Cx.
· The output pulse width is approximately given by the formula: tW(OUT) = K · Cx · Rx (K ≅ 0.45).
· Taking CLR low terminates the monostable state, and if a trigger pulse occurs during the monostable period, it extends the period.

· Balanced propagation delays: tPLH ≅ tPHL.
· Wide operating voltage range: VCC (OPR) = 2V to 6V.
· Wide output pulse width range: tWOUT = 120 ns ~ 60 s at VCC = 4.5V.
· Pin and function compatible with 74 series.
