DESCRIPTION

· The M74HC590 is a high-speed CMOS 8-bit binary counter register with 3-state outputs, fabricated using silicon gate C2MOS technology.

· It includes an 8-bit binary counter and an 8-bit storage register with parallel outputs.

· Separate clocks are provided for the counter and register, both positive-edge triggered.

· Features a direct clear input (CCLR) and a count enable input (CCKEN) for the counter.

· Includes a ripple carry output (RCO) for cascading multiple devices.

· Internal circuitry prevents clocking from the clock enable input.

· All inputs are protected against static discharge and transient excess voltage.
