DESCRIPTION

· The MAX220–MAX249 family of line drivers/receivers is designed for EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces, especially in applications where ±12V is unavailable.

· The MAX225, MAX233, MAX235, and MAX245/MAX246/MAX247 models require no external components, making them ideal for applications with limited printed circuit board space.

· Available in 26 different packages with temperature ranges from 0 to +70°C up to -55°C to +125°C.

FEATURES

· Integrated Charge Pump Circuitry eliminates the need for a bipolar ±12V supply, enabling single supply operation from a +5V supply.

· Integrated Capacitors (MAX223, MAX233, MAX235, MAX245–MAX247) save board space.

· 5μW Shutdown Mode reduces power consumption for applications with low power requirements.
