DESCRIPTION

· The MCP73833/4 is a linear charge management controller designed for space-limited, cost-sensitive applications.

· It is available in 10-Lead DFN-10 (3 mm x 3 mm) and MSOP-10 packages.

· It requires a low number of external components, making it suitable for portable applications.

· It adheres to USB power bus specifications for USB port charging.

· It employs a constant current/constant voltage charge algorithm with selectable preconditioning and charge termination.

· It supports fixed voltage regulation options: 4.20V, 4.35V, 4.40V, or 4.50V.

· The constant current value is set with one external resistor.

· It includes thermal regulation to optimize charge cycle time and maintain device reliability.

· It is fully specified over the ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
