DESCRIPTION

· The MIC2584 and MIC2585 are dual-channel positive voltage hot swap controllers designed for safe board insertion into live system backplanes.

· Available in 16-pin (MIC2584) and 24-pin (MIC2585) TSSOP packages.

· Control external N-Channel MOSFETs to provide inrush current limiting and output voltage slew rate control.

· MIC2585 offers output turn-on sequencing and tracking during turn-on and turn-off.

FEATURES

· Operates with a supply voltage range of 1.0V to 13.2V.

· Surge voltage protection up to 20V.

· Programmable inrush current limiting and electronic circuit breaker.

· Dual-level overcurrent fault sensing and fast response to short circuits (<1 µs).

· Two sequenced output mode selections and ∆250mV supply tracking mode (MIC2585 only).

· Overvoltage and undervoltage monitoring, undervoltage lockout protection.

· /FAULT status output, Power-On Reset, and Power-Good status output (MIC2585 only).
