DESCRIPTION

· The MIC2588 and MIC2594 are single-channel, negative-voltage hot swap controllers designed for safe insertion and removal of circuit boards into live high-voltage system backplanes.

· They operate with an external N-Channel MOSFET to control gate drive, providing inrush current limiting and output voltage slew-rate control.

· These controllers include overcurrent fault protection with a programmable threshold and a constant-current regulation loop during output overload.

· They feature a built-in 400µs nuisance-trip delay and latch off the circuit breaker's output in fault conditions, requiring a reset via the UV/OFF pin or power cycling.

· A master Power-Good signal indicates when the output voltage is within its valid range, enabling DC-DC converter modules.
