DESCRIPTION

· The MIC4833 is a low noise dual Electroluminescent (EL) Panel driver designed for backlighting applications.
· It converts a low DC voltage to a high DC voltage using a boost converter and alternates the high DC voltage across EL panels via an H-bridge.
· Features internal wave-shaping circuitry to minimize audible noise from EL panels.
· Supports PWM dimming for two EL panels, driven from a single inductor with minimal passive components.
· Operates within an input voltage range of 2.3V to 5.8V, suitable for various battery types.
· Allows adjustment of output voltage slew rate via an external resistor to further reduce noise.
· Includes separate oscillators for boost and H-bridge stages for independent frequency control.
· Available in a 12-pin 3mmx3mm MLF package with a junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
