DESCRIPTION

· The MIC4834 is a low noise dual Electroluminescent (EL) Panel driver for backlighting applications.

· It converts a low DC voltage to a high DC voltage using a boost converter and alternates the high DC voltage across EL panels using an H-bridge.

· It features internal wave-shaping circuitry to reduce audible noise and requires only one inductor to drive two outputs.

· The operating input voltage range is 2.3V to 5.8V, suitable for 1-cell Li-ion and 2- or 3-cell alkaline/NiCad/NiMH battery applications.

· Available in 10-pin 3mmx3mm MLF® and MSOP-10L packages with an operating junction temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.
