DESCRIPTION

· The MLX83100 is a 2-phase DC gate driver designed for automotive applications.

· It provides level shifting between MCU PWM outputs and external half-bridges.

· Compatible with 3.3V-5V microcontrollers and supports 12V-28V battery systems.

· Features a small 28-pin TSSOP-EP package with AEC-Q100 grade 0 qualification.

FEATURES

· Supports a supply voltage range of 4.5V-28V with an absolute maximum rating of 45V.

· Includes two charge pump configuration modes for low voltage operation and reverse polarity N-FET protection.

· High-side gate drivers with bootstrap circuits and integrated 12V voltage regulator.

· Integrated current sense amplifier with programmable gain (8x-48x) and fast settling time (<1µs).

· Extensive diagnostics including under/over voltage detection, over temperature warning, and VGS monitoring.

· Configurable EEPROM for driver and diagnostics configuration.

· Sleep mode with current consumption <30µA.

APPLICATIONS

· Automotive 12V DC applications such as water pumps, oil pumps, fuel pumps, engine cooling fans, HVAC blowers, compressors, wipers, sunroofs, and EPS.

· Industrial DC motor drivers up to 28V for pumps, fans, blowers, and compressors.
