DESCRIPTION

· The MLX90395 Triaxis® Magnetic Node is a compact sensor IC capable of detecting three orthogonal components of magnetic flux density (BX, BY, BZ) and temperature.

· It decodes the absolute position of moving magnets, enabling the design of non-contacting position sensors for automotive and industrial applications.

· The sensor supports I2C and SPI bus communication, offers runtime programmability, and includes on-chip temperature compensation.

FEATURES

· Utilizes Triaxis® Hall Technology and is Automotive Grade (AEC-Q100).

· Features micro-power operation with a programmable duty cycle and selectable digital output.

· Provides 16-bit magnetic (XYZ) and supply voltage (V) measurements, and 14-bit temperature (T) readings.

· Offers programmable modes including Single Measurement, Burst Mode up to 2kHz, and Wake-up On Change (WOC) Mode.

· Includes on-chip magnetic calibration, 8-bit measurement CRC, and a measurement counter.

· Supports SPI up to 10MHz or I2C up to 1MHz, and includes a 48-bit unique ID number.

· Available in RoHS compliant and green packages: SOIC-8, TSSOP-16, QFN-16.

APPLICATIONS

· Suitable for HMI Non-Contacting Potentiometer, Joystick with Push, Rotary with Push, and Linear (Long Stroke) applications.

· Used in Top-Column Module, Stalk Position/Function Sensor, Center Stack, and Shifter Position Sensor.

· Ideal for Multimedia Rotary/Push Selector, Knobs/Levers, Body Control, Door handle & door lock, and Mirror position sensing.
