DESCRIPTION

· MM3474 series is a protection IC for lithium-ion/lithium-polymer secondary batteries, supporting 3 to 5 serial cells.

· It features overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent protection functions.

· The IC allows for cascade connection to protect battery packs with 6 or more serial cells.

· It includes control terminals for output overdischarge detection (SDC) and output overcharge detection (SOC), reducing the need for external components.

· The number of cells can be switched by inputting high/low signals to the SEL terminal.

FEATURES

· Detection voltage ranges with specified accuracies: overcharge (3.6V to 4.5V), overdischarge (2.0V to 3.0V), overcurrent (50mV to 300mV), and short detection (0.2V to 1.0V).

· Supports 3-, 4-, and 5-cell protection switching via SEL1 and SEL2 pins.

· Communication function available when cascade connected.

· Compatible with lithium-ion and lithium-polymer rechargeable battery packs.
