Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The NB7HQ14M is a high-performance differential 1:4 CML fanout buffer with a selectable Equalizer receiver.

· It compensates for degraded signals transmitted across FR4 PCB backplanes or cable interconnects, outputting four identical CML copies of the input signal.

· The device reduces Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) caused by losses in copper interconnects or long cables, increasing serial data rates.

· The Equalizer Enable pin (EQEN) controls whether the IN/IN inputs bypass or flow through the Equalizer section, with a default LOW state at startup.

· It is ideal for SONET, GigE, Fiber Channel, Backplane, and other Clock/Data distribution applications.

· The differential inputs incorporate internal 50Ω termination resistors, allowing compatibility with various logic level standards like LVPECL, CML, or LVDS.

· Outputs can be powered by either a 2.5V or 1.8V supply, optimized for low output skew applications.
