DESCRIPTION

· All components in this series integrate a photodiode, amplifier, voltage regulator, Schmitt trigger, and NPN output transistor on a single silicon chip.

· OPL560 chips additionally include a voltage regulator.

· Devices feature a Photologic® chip in a molded plastic side-looking package with an integral lens (recessed for OPL535 and OPL536).

· Enhanced optical coupling and mechanical protection are provided by the packaging.

· Schmitt trigger hysteresis ensures high noise immunity on input and VCC.

· OPL530, OPL531, OPL535, and OPL536 include a 10KΩ pull-up resistor (RL) from output to VCC.

· Stable performance across supply voltages from 4.5V to 16V and a wide range of irradiance levels.

· OPL550 and OPL551 offer TTL/LSTTL compatible logic level output, driving up to 8 TTL loads without additional circuitry, with medium-speed data rates up to 250 kBaud.

· OPL560, OPL561, OPL562, and OPL563 feature TTL/LSTTL compatible logic level output, driving up to 10 TTL loads over supply voltages from 4.5V to 16V.

· Mechanically and spectrally matched to OP140, OP240, OP145, and OP245 series LEDs.
