DESCRIPTION

· The PCM270xC series are single-chip USB stereo audio digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with a USB 2.0 compliant full-speed protocol controller and S/PDIF output.

· They feature TI's unique SpAct™ architecture for audio clock recovery from USB packet data and on-chip analog phase-locked loops (PLLs) for low clock jitter playback.

· These devices support bus-powered or self-powered operation and include an on-chip clock generator with a single 12-MHz clock source.

FEATURES

· On-chip USB interface with full-speed transceivers, fully compliant with USB 2.0 specification, and supports USB Audio Class with USB 1.1 descriptors.

· Adaptive isochronous transfer for playback, partially programmable descriptors, and no dedicated device driver needed.

· Sampling rates of 32kHz, 44.1kHz, and 48kHz, with a 16-bit delta-sigma stereo DAC.

· Analog performance includes THD+N of 0.006% (self-powered), SNR and dynamic range of 98dB, and output power of 12mW at 32Ω.

· Multiple functions include up to eight HID interfaces, S/PDIF output with SCMS, external ROM interface (PCM2704C/6C), serial programming interface (PCM2705C/7C), and selectable I2S interface (PCM2706C/7C).
