DESCRIPTION

· The PI3AUX221 is an interface IC designed for connecting discrete Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to DisplayPort (DP) connectors, supporting Dual-Mode DisplayPort.

· It integrates Display Data Channel (DDC) support in HDMI mode, level translation, mux function, over-voltage protection, back-drive protection, and Hot Plug Detect (HPD) inversion.

· The device operates across a voltage range of 1V to 5V and is housed in a compact 12-pin, 2x2mm UQFN package.

FEATURES

· Supports Dual-Mode DisplayPort and HDMI 2.1, compliant with DisplayPort 2.0.

· Provides bi-directional level translation for 100KHz DDC signals and inverted level translation for HPD signals.

· Includes protection features against invalid VREF1 or VREF2 voltages and over-voltage conditions on AUX2A/B.

· Features a 10MHz, -3dB bandwidth for AUX switches and limits leakage current between VREF1 and VREF2 to 100nA.

· Lead-free, RoHS compliant, and halogen and antimony-free, making it a "Green" device.

APPLICATIONS

· Ideal for Dual Mode DisplayPort applications in graphics cards.

· Suitable for AC-coupling of AUX signals or DC-level translated DDC signals controlled by the SEL pin.

· Used in automotive applications requiring specific change control, such as parts qualified to AEC-Q100/101/200 and manufactured in IATF 16949 certified facilities.
