Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The PI3DPX1202A is a DisplayPort 1.2 compliant, low-power DP Redriver.

· It reads Aux-channel Link Training data, configures output swing/pre-emphasis, and calculates EQ via the built-in Aux listener.

· EQ can be programmed through the I2C serial interface.

· It reduces signal jitter and compensates for PCB-related frequency and switching losses for optimal DP performance.



FEATURES

· Dual mode DisplayPort Redriver compliant with DP 1.2 specification.

· Supports data rates of 1.62, 2.7, and 5.4 Gbps with DDC/Aux signal switching.

· High-speed inputs with internal 50 Ohm pull-down.

· Ultra-low power design.

· Dual mode DisplayPort Input/Output with TMDS clock frequencies up to 340 MHz.

· Aux Listener supports link training, output level configuration, and pre-emphasis setting during initialization.

· Pseudo-adaptive equalization based on signal level and pre-emphasis setting in Aux register.

· CNTRL provides pin control for EQ, Output Voltage Swing, and Pre-Emphasis.

· DP and TMDS output mode selection with Cable Detection pins.

· Supports Hot Plug Detect and Cable Detect functions.

· Individual lane power down automatically when no DP signal is present.

· DP redriver enters power down state to reduce current consumption when the sink device is deserted.

· Power Supply: 3.3V.

· ESD HBM protection of 2kV.

· Package: 48-pin TQFN (7x7mm).
