DESCRIPTION

· The PI90LV179 is a differential line driver and receiver compliant with IEEE 1596.3 SCI and ANSI/TIA/EIA-644 LVDS standards.

· It uses LVDS to achieve data rates over 660 Mbps with reduced noise susceptibility compared to single-ended transmission.

· The driver converts LVTTL/CMOS input to a 350mV differential output, while the receiver converts a 350mV differential input to a 3V CMOS output.

FEATURES

· Signaling rates exceed 660 Mbps (330 MHz).

· Operates on a single 3.3V power supply.

· Driver features ±350mV differential swing into 100-ohm load, 1.5ns propagation delay, and 5V tolerant LVTTL inputs.

· Receiver accepts ±50mV differential swing with up to 2.0V ground potential difference, 3.3ns propagation delay, and LVTTL outputs.

· Supports open, short, and terminated fail-safe conditions.

· Industrial temperature range: -40°C to 85°C.

· Meets or exceeds IEEE 1596.3 SCI and ANSI/TIA/EIA-644 LVDS standards.

· Bus terminal ESD protection up to 2KV HBM.

· Available in 8-pin SOIC or MSOP packages (Pb-free & Green options).
