DESCRIPTION

· The PI90LVB010 is a differential line driver and receiver (transceiver) designed for true half-duplex operation with enhanced driver output current.

· It supports multiple LVDS drivers or two-line transmission resistors over a 50Ω differential transmission line.

· The device features internal connections for driver outputs and receiver inputs to minimize bus loading.

· It includes a flexible logic interface with four separate lines: DIN, DE, RE, and ROUT.

· The driver has a 10mA drive capability, suitable for heavily loaded backplanes with impedance as low as 27Ω.

· It translates TTL levels to Low Voltage Differential Signaling levels, enabling high-speed operation with minimal power consumption and reduced EMI.

· The device also provides common mode noise rejection of ±1V.



FEATURES

· Bus LVDS Signaling (BLVDS) designed for double termination applications.

· Balanced output impedance with light bus loading (5pF typical).

· Glitch-free power up/down with driver disabled.

· Operates from a 3.3V supply with high signaling rate capability (>100Mbps).

· Driver features ±250mV differential swing into a 27Ω load, 1.5ns typical propagation delay, and 5V tolerant LVTTL inputs.

· Receiver accepts ±50mV (min.) differential swing with up to 2.0V ground potential difference, 3.3ns typical propagation delay, and LVTTL outputs.

· Open, short, and terminated fail-safe operation.

· Bus terminal ESD exceeds 10kV.

· Industrial temperature operation (–40°C to +85°C).

· Available in 8-lead SOIC (W) and 8-lead MSOP (U) packaging, Pb-free & Green options.
