DESCRIPTION

· The PS700 is a high-precision battery monitor designed for rechargeable battery packs, particularly Lithium-ion (1-cell and 2-cell) configurations. It measures, maintains, and reports critical battery parameters with exceptional accuracy.

FEATURES

· 16-bit integrating A/D for current measurement with less than ±0.5% error.
· Temperature measurement accuracy within ±2°C using on-chip sensor or external thermistor.
· 32-bit registers for accumulating charge/discharge current, temperature, and voltage.
· 512-byte nonvolatile EEPROM for storing factory and user-defined parameters.
· In-system offset calibration for current measurement.
· SMBus/I2C™ compatible 2-wire communication interface.
· 8-pin TSSOP package with -20°C to +85°C operating range.
· Configurable NTC and VC2 pins for thermistor input or GPIO.
· Flexible power modes: Run (80 µA), Sample (45 µA), Sample-Sleep (20 µA), Shelf-Sleep (300 nA).
