DESCRIPTION

· The S-25A640A and S-25A640B are SPI serial E2PROMs designed for high-temperature, high-speed operation in automotive applications.

· These ICs have a memory capacity of 64 K-bit, organized as 8192 words x 8-bit, and support page write and sequential read operations.

· They are suitable for use in automotive control units and medical equipment, with specific precautions advised.

FEATURES

· Operating voltage range: 2.5 V to 5.5 V for both read and write operations.

· Maximum operation frequency: 5.0 MHz for S-25A640A and 6.5 MHz for S-25A640B.

· Maximum write time: 4.0 ms for S-25A640A and 5.0 ms for S-25A640B.

· Supports SPI modes (0, 0) and (1, 1).

· Page write capability: 32 bytes per page.

· Sequential read functionality.

· Write protection via software and hardware, with protect areas of 25%, 50%, and 100%.
