DESCRIPTION
· The S-8254A Series is a protection IC designed for 3-serial or 4-serial lithium-ion/lithium polymer rechargeable battery packs, featuring high-accuracy voltage detection and delay circuits.
FEATURES
· High-accuracy voltage detection for each cell with configurable overcharge, overdischarge, and release voltages.
· Three-level overcurrent protection with adjustable detection voltages.
· Configurable delay times for overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent detection via external capacitors.
· Switchable between 3-serial and 4-serial cell configurations using the SEL pin.
· Charge/discharge control via dedicated pins.
· Supports 0 V battery charge and power-down functionality.
· High-withstand voltage (26 V max) and wide operating voltage range (2 V to 24 V).
· Operates in a wide temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) with low current consumption.
· Lead-free, Sn100%, and halogen-free design.
