DESCRIPTION

· The SCA630-EDCV1B is a single-axis accelerometer with an analog interface, designed by Murata Electronics Oy. It integrates a silicon bulk micro-machined sensing element chip and a signal conditioning ASIC, both protected with silicone gel and a lid. The device is housed in a pre-molded package with 8 SMD legs (Gull-wing type).

FEATURES

· Operates on a single +5 V supply with a typical current consumption of 2.5 mA.
· Provides a ratiometric output relative to the supply voltage (Vdd = 4.75 V...5.25 V).
· Includes enhanced failure detection features such as a digitally activated self-test, memory parity check, and built-in connection failure detection.
· Capable of driving wide loads (up to 20 nF) and offers a true DC response.
· Complies with the AEC-Q100 standard for automotive applications.

APPLICATIONS

· Ideal for automotive applications requiring high stability and reliability, including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), engine vibration measurement, roll-over detection, suspension monitoring, and inclination sensing.
