DESCRIPTION

· The Si9730 is a dual-cell lithium-ion battery control IC designed for monitoring and managing the charging and discharging processes of battery packs with carbon or coke chemistry. It ensures full utilization of battery capacity while maintaining safe operation by providing protection against over-charge, over-discharge, and short circuit conditions. The IC monitors individual cell voltages through an internal A/D converter and includes a cell balancing network to equalize cell charges. It controls external N-Channel MOSFETs to manage charging and load current, and is available in an 8-pin SOIC package with an operating temperature range of -25 to 85 °C, offered in both standard and lead-free versions.
