DESCRIPTION

· The SKY81294 is a high-efficiency, 1.5 A high-current boost converter with programmable constant current, designed for LED photo flash applications in single-cell Li-Ion powered portable products.

· It maintains flash LED output current using a DC-DC step-up converter with a bypass function to maximize efficiency under all load conditions.

· The device features a high-frequency, 2.75-MHz DC-DC boost switching frequency, allowing the use of small external components, making it ideal for small battery-powered applications.

· It includes a start-up control circuit that automatically senses the flash LED forward voltage and determines the most efficient operation mode.

· The SKY81294 is available in small 16-bump/9-bump WLCSP packages and is compliant with Skyworks Green™ standards.
