DESCRIPTION

· The ST16C32245 is a dual supply low voltage CMOS 14-bit bus transceiver.

· It is designed for interfacing between a 3.3 V bus and a 2.5 V or 1.8 V bus in mixed supply systems.

· It supports high-speed operation with low power dissipation and includes 2-bit I2C level translation.

· The device is intended for two-way asynchronous communication between data buses.



FEATURES

· High speed: tPD = 4.4 ns (max) at TA = 85 °C, VCCA = 3.0 V, and VCCB = 2.3 V.

· Low power dissipation: ICCA = ICCB = 20 μA(max) at TA = 85 °C.

· Symmetrical output impedance: |IOHA| = IOLA = 8 mA min, |IOHB| = IOLB = 6 mA min.

· Balanced propagation delays: tPLH ≅ tPHL.

· Power down protection on inputs and outputs.

· 26Ω series resistor on A side outputs.

· Operating voltage range: VCCA(opr) = 2.3 V to 3.6 V, VCCB(opr) = 1.65 V to 2.7 V.

· Fast I2C lines 1.8 V/2.8 V level translator: 400 KHz guaranteed data rate at CL = 15 pF.

· Bus hold provided on data input both sides.

· Latch-up performance exceeds 500mA (JESD 17).

· ESD performance: HBM > 2000 V, MM > 200 V.
